In August 2025, Daugmale celebrated its 100th anniversary - a significant event for all residents and businesses associated with this place. For Baltink, which operates in Daugmale, this is a celebration that unites history, culture and people.
To mark the anniversary, SIA Zemgales Reģionālā televīzija prepared a special edition of the program "Vērtīgi zināt", which was aired on the local Latvian channel ReTV. For more than five years, the program has been introducing viewers to the cultural, historical and scientific values of Latvia, and also creates documentaries for schools - as important evidence of history.
This time, viewers were presented with a documentary story about the formation and development of Daugmale, about the key events and people who shaped the appearance of the village over the course of a century. The film contains memories, rare archival footage and interesting facts that allow us to see history through the eyes of eyewitnesses.
